Los Deberes (Homework)
Underlined words below are the due date for the assignment.
Any day that specific homework is not assigned, students should review their vocabulary from their binders or from this website.

Week of November 17th:
- martes, 18 de noviembre: Activity sheets 4 and 5 (color, cut and paste rainforest animals, be prepared to discuss them in class tomorrow)
- miércoles, 19 de noviembre: All re-dos so for work done so far are due today (Wednesday)
- jueves, 20 de noviembre: Worksheet on interrogative words. See files section of "Welcome"page
- viernes, 21 de noviembre: Illustrate the rainforest animal description\story that you copied from your classmate. "Pop" quiz tomorrow on animals and adjectives.

- jueves, 13 de noviembre: Fix your test! Correct errors and spelling, according to our class correction.

Week of Oct. 27:
In preparation for Wednesday's test, you should, if you have not yet, DO the REVIEW SHEET (See "files" on Welcome page).
- martes, 28 de octubre: Review your corrected work (Trabajos Corregidos section of your binder) and find at least 2 papers that will help you prepare for the test. Rewrite both papers, making sure you address any mistakes or lingering questions.
Week of Oct 20:
- martes 21 de oct: Use list from class to fill in the Spanish-speaking countries on your blank map. You may color, shade or mark the countries. Find their capitals and list them in your notes or mark them on the map. All reference materials are available on my website: Notes from class and blank map are under "files" on Welcome page. Info maps are available in your agenda and under "weblinks" on my Spanish page.
- miércoles 22 de oct.: Write a cartoon between a typical person and an "importante" person (using Ud.). Each person should ask the other if he\she is from a particular country or city, the other person answers "No, I'm not from..." The first person asks "Where are you from?" The second answers correctly. This is just like your notes and practice from class.
- jueves, 23 de oct.: Study your nations, capitals and rivers. There will be multiple-choice quiz Thurs. on the geography of the Hispanic World.
- viernes, 24 de oct.: Worksheet: SER conjugation practice
- OVER THE WEEKEND: Do the test review sheet to the best of your ability. Check to see that you have all your notes. A copy of the review sheet has been uploaded to "files" on the Welcome page.
Week of Oct 14th:
- miéricoles, 15 de octubre: make a crossword puzzle (the answer sheet only) using the 10 Spanish words below as answers, and their English meanings as clues. If you need graph or grid paper, check Ms. Chlanda's website where you can download one.

Week of Oct 6th:
- martes, 7 de octubre: Rewrite errors on greetings quiz correctly AND draw one cartoon figure for each personal pronoun (you may skip vosotros if you wish). Make sure your cartoon expresses the meaning of the pronoun. Here they are: yo, tú. él, ella, Ud. nosotros, (vosotros), ellos, ellas, Uds. People you refer to as "Ud" should get hats or something to make them important.
- Sentences with SER. See the page of the same name under the "Files" heading on the Welcome page. You may print out the assignment if you wish, or do the work on a separate sheet.
- Hi.Sorry I was so late getting the HW up tonight. I had some trouble logging in. We have our SER conjugation quiz tomorrow (Friday). You CAN DO IT! For practice, go to my Weblinks on the Spanish page. Click on ¡Conjuguemos! link. Change the pulldown menu to Irregular Verbs. Scroll down to verb list, and click on SER. Then press START and see how you do. GOOD LUCK!
Week of Sept 29th:
- martes, 30 de septiembre: have your alphabet rap memorized. For help pronouncing the letters, you can go to the last weblink on the Spanish page.
- miércoles, primero de octubre: 5 sentences telling the color of 5 objects IN PLURAL With pictures Example: Son unos relojes verdes.
- jueves, 2 de octubre: study for quiz Fri quiz is on making plurals and the greetings/goodbyes
Week of Sept. 22nd:
- martes, 23 de septiembre: Memorize dialogue from class
- miércoles, 24 de septiembre: Spain Geography worksheet
- jueves, 25 de dieciembre: Find 5 pictures of objects and colors at home, and write sentences like the ones in class
- viernes, 26 de diciembre: Quiz Friday: study dates, numbers, and colores.
Week of Sept. 15th:
- martes 16 de septiembre: Finish number books
- miércoles 17 de septiembre: Numbers quiz today... numbers 1-50
- jueves 18 de septiembre: Write out numbers missed on quiz, 5X each
- viernes 19 de septiembre: Mark dates on calendar
